CUMC 2014 - Carleton University

2nd - 5th July

Welcome to the official website of the 2014 Canadian Undergraduate Mathematics Conference (CUMC).The CUMC is an academic conference aimed at undergraduate students studying mathematics or mathematical fields. With over two hundred students from across the country attending last year at Université de Montréal, CUMC is the largest event of its kind in Canada, having grown since its inception in 1994 at McGill. This year’s event will take place at Carleton University in Ottawa from the 2nd to the 5th of July.

The tradition of the academic conference has a well established value as an opportunity for academics to meet in one place to sample diverse new ideas and to collaborate with new colleagues. For undergraduates, a conference represents a unique opportunity to depart briefly from the standard curriculum, to get the lay of the land of pure and applied mathematical research, and to meet like-minded students from across the country. In addition to the student talks, a series of keynote lectures given by our distinguished guests is planned to supplement the student talks and social events that are planned.

This website will be the main source of information regarding the conference in the weeks leading up to it. Any questions can be directed to, and also check out our FAQ section.
