## About the Conference## ### Background ### CUMC 2011 The first CUMC was held at McGill University in 1994. It was intended to strengthen the undergraduate math community by increasing collaboration and giving students the opportunity to discuss research. Each year, the conference is organized locally by undergraduate students from a Canadian university, and is sponsored and co-organized by the Canadian Mathematical Society Student Committee (CMS Studc). ### Conference Structure ### CUMC 2019 Workshop Each student has the opportunity to give a 25-minute talk, and/or present a poster at the poster session, on any mathematical topic that they wish. In addition, the conference includes keynote lectures, panels, workshops, and various social events. Although the conference is intended primarily for undergraduate students, anyone is invited to register and to give a talk.
